About RepDex

Who We Are

RepDex is an independent publication focused on AI detection. We started with a simple idea: as more writing gets checked by machines, the people being checked deserve a source that explains how AI detectors actually work, how accurate they really are, and what to do about it — without the noise of sponsored rankings or affiliate-driven recommendations.

What We Cover

We publish two things. First, detector knowledge: how AI detection actually works, what the scores mean, why false positives happen, and how accurate the tools really are. Second, step-by-step how-to guides for working with AI-generated text: checking it, cleaning it, and understanding how detectors judge it. Every article is written by actually doing the work — including running real text through real detectors — and from primary sources.

Our Editorial Standards

Independence is the foundation of everything we publish. RepDex does not accept sponsored content, paid placements, or biased affiliate partnerships — from detector vendors or anyone else. When we report an accuracy figure, it is because we tested it or verified the source. When a detector's claims fall short, we say so. Our readers trust us because we prioritise accuracy and honesty over revenue.

Who We Serve

Our audience includes students whose essays get flagged, writers and freelancers whose clients run detector checks, editors and educators who use these tools, and professionals who simply want to understand what AI detection can and cannot do. False positives have real consequences — grades, jobs, reputations — and we cover this space with the seriousness those stakes deserve. Whatever brings you here, RepDex is built to help without the guesswork.
